WHO WE ARE

We are team of professionals providing real estate investment and advisory services, with roots on both side of the Atlantic. We formed Ochre Capital in 2012 as a bridge between the whole world and Canada, to allow non-residents to benefit simply and effectively from the attractiveness of the Canadian real estate investments..

Between our team of 5 executives and directors, we have significant experience in real estate debt and equity financing, private equity asset management, fundraising and investor relations, deal structuring, compliance and operations.
WHAT OUR NAME STANDS FOR
Ochre is a poetic word in English. It is the colour of earth and the colour of Van Gogh’s "Sunflowers" paintings. We chose this name to represent our business focus on Real Estate investment - something tangible and something artistic.
WHAT WE DO
We scour the market for the very best commercial real estate properties (A and B class assets typically in the Toronto area). They are tenanted and generate cash flows. We structure the deal, and acquire and manage the real estate properties on behalf of our investors. We handle all aspects of investment and property management, banking and tax fillings. We report to our investors in great detail on the investment's performance and forecasted cash flows. In the course of our management of the properties, we aim to transform them ecologically, aesthetically and functionally such that the resale value is increased.
WHAT WE PROMISE
We strive to secure for our investors a net return on investment well exceeding public equities (the majority is in immediate cash flows to the investor and the balance in capital gain upon liquidation or refinancing), at lower risk than other asset classes. Our remuneration is based on the success delivered to our investors.

Unlike the vast majority of asset management firms, our management fee compensation only kicks in after we make a minimum annual return for our clients.

ERIN UISKA WIEDMER

B.Sc., is Partner of Ochre Capital since 2012. Erin is responsible for operations, compliance and internal control. Erin was previously Internal Auditor and Senior Compliance Officer of CIBC World Markets. Erin has certifications from the Canadian Securities Institute in options, securities, futures, insurance, investment management, and conduct and practices. Erin is Canadian and Swiss.

PIERRE RENYI

B.Sc.(Econ), Partner responsible for Investor Relations, is a Canadian serial entrepreneur born in Transylvania and raised in France, Brazil and Canada. Fluent in English, French, German, Hungarian, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish. He studied electrical engineering prior to starting and managing firms in investment, technology, publishing and design. A Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques (France), he is a lover of Canada’s spectacular nature.

NORMAN XU

BBA, is the partner responsible for deal flow, analysis and evaluation. Norman has been University of Toronto Finance Lab Technician for the UTSC Library Finance & Trading Lab, and has worked as a financial analyst at Mercer and Alpha Exchange. Norman has passed the CFA III and FRM II exams. Norman’s family has a business in the construction industry and he has personally bought, sold and managed real estate for the last 6 years.

ADVISOR

ALEXANDER WIEDMER

BA (Hons.), MBA, Director, advises Ochre Capital on asset management practices. He is Partner of Iris Capital Management in Paris, France and has been a private equity investor and asset manager for 14 years with extensive management and governance experience. Previously he was responsible for marketing and sales in the technology and media sectors. He studied business, philosophy and art history.
